Dr. Andrea Stover, professor of English
, fairly recently served as co-chair on the Japan Studies Association’ersus 22nd Annual Conference held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Alongside co-chair Maggie Ivanova,?Stover sent out a call to get papers, reviewed software, set up panels and organized the conference.
She furthermore presented a document entitled “Teaching Japanese Papers in an English Composing Classroom” in which she showed how teaching your zuihitsu, a Japanese paper form, has helped trainees hone particular abilities needed in writing the classical essay.
