Professor of Sociology Andi Stepnick’s?e book (with Kris de Welde),?Disrupting the actual Culture of Stop: Confronting Gender Inequality together with Making Change in Higher Education,?appeared to be recently?named an Outstanding Academic Title (OAT) for 2017 by Choice: Present Reviews for Academic Libraries. Choice noted that “this prestigious listing reflects the best in scholarly titles…and brings from it the extraordinary acknowledgement of the academic selection community.”

In 2017,?Choice?received approximately 30,000 submissions together with?approximately 7,000 were accepted pertaining to review. This year’s OAT record contains 606 titles symbolizing 54 disciplines. Stepnick’ersus book is one of Age 14 in the social as well as behavioral sciences to receive this designation. Selection standards include:

  • overall excellence inside presentation and scholarship
  • importance when compared with other literature during field
  • distinction as a first remedy for a given subject inside book or electrical form
