Third teenager caught on suspicion with murder in Wesley Lennon Winton stabbing

An 18-year-old man has been caught on suspicion involving murder after a Winton gentleman was stabbed to demise on Monday evening.

He was pulled in pertaining to questioning on Friday 1 September and remains in police custodianship.

He is the third young adult to be questioned by police after Wesley Lennon (earlier Wesley Barnard) was fatally wounded while trying to break up your street fight outdoors his cousin’s dwelling on Cambrai Crescent with Winton.

A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old guy arrested on suspicions of murder earlier this week have been bailed until 21 Sept.

Police are repeating their own appeal for anyone together with any information to come forward.

Inspector Lewis Christie from GMP’s Major episode Team said: “This can be a terrible incident where a young man has lost his life.

“My thoughts are with his friends and family at this extremely difficult moment.

“Although we have developed a number of arrests, your research is still in the early portions and we are still pleasing for anyone with every information to contact police.”
